Leon Stoltz founded and produces the Miami Beach Lantern Parade as a celebration of light, creativity, and community — gathering thousands of participants and hundreds of handmade lanterns for one unforgettable evening along the beach.
The 1st Annual Miami (Beach) Lantern Parade is a festive community event fostering unity and pride as Miamians — join us as we illuminate the Boardwalk with handcrafted lanterns and celebrate the bright spirit of our city.
Route starts near 16th Street and finishes at South Pointe Park.
ONLY LANTERNS POWERED BY LED LIGHTS ARE ALLOWED.
FLOATING LANTERNS CAUSE HARM TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
NO E-BIKES OR E-SCOOTERS ARE ALLOWED ON THE BOARDWALK.

THE ROUTE
The parade starts near 16th Street and continues south, in one direction with no stops, along the Miami Beach Boardwalk and Ocean Drive, ending at South Pointe Park. The parade route is approximately 1 mile.
- Start: 16th Street — Delano / SLS / W South Beach area
- Waypoint: Lummus Park / Ocean Drive — Art Deco district
- Finish: South Pointe Park
